I think it is a good thing to just get dressed and not worry, but "not worry" might leave me looking like a refugee from somebody's Santa display, or worse, the DON'T illustration in someone's kiltwear article. That is what I am trying to avoid- Perfection is not even an issue for me. And I think for special occasions, it is nice to look as good as possible. But thanks for the reminder that it is just clothes after all. It's just that it is much easier to worry about the color of one's hose than to do something truly useful like exercise away 10 pounds off one's middle.

Personally, I wear Lovat green hose to match the green in my kilt when wearing a charcoal grey jacket. Also, in agreement with Jock, if it looks good wear it. I'll cite the Duke of Argyll, who wears red hose with his Ancient Campbell tartan kilt. Quite dashing in my opinion.
