    A Frenchman's sheer foolishness
was to check for the absence of dress
'neath the kilts of a Scot
    (t'was likely as not
why the Scot cut his hands off and cuss'd).

I guess they ended up a little short-handed that day.
And so I sing with lyric lilt,--
How happier the world would be
If every male would wear a kilt!

The sound of one hand clapping.....a disarming foray!

Since the Frenchman would be unable to waltz that night, brings a whole new meaning to Arm miss Dance, to end the conflict.

He really took it to heart when he was told to "disarm the French"!
