I have found in the short period of time that I have been kilted, that the sporran and the tartan combined, create a sort of natural "camoflage"

The idea of camouflage makes sense to me, at least when compared to a tartan kilt... Same idea as a leopards spots; to break things up... Good comparison!

Just remember that if this condition lasts for more than four hours you should seek immediate medical attention.

I've heard it's very painful, and nothing (NOTHING) can help it.

Priapism is a serious medical condition, and diagnostic symptom!

That's true... It can also be a symptom of spinal injury; so, don't be intrigued or alarmed when the paramedic responding to the scene of an accident "checks for wood" before moving a victim, especially if he's still wearing a motorcycle helmet.
The spirit of the Declaration of Arbroath (6 April 1320) abides today, defiantly resisting any tyranny that would disarm, disperse and despoil proud people of just morals, determined to keep the means of protecting their families and way of life close at hand.

This is true. Things that go thump in the night are way more visible under a solid colored kilt. Ah...now I know why so many prefer the traditional tartans over the casual kilts!

When it happens, my wife is the only one who's noticed, or at least she is the only one to have made comments about it. I just walk proud and act like it's supposed to look like that!
