Oh my goodness -- these long flights do play havoc with our bodies. I am very glad that this was discovered in time and hope you have a speedy recovery. Perhaps if you have to wear elastic stockings, Big Mikey could make you some special hose toppers.

DVT is nothing to mess around with. I have special knee-high compression socks for long-haul flights... They aren't much to look at with a kilt, but I found out that they are thin enough to neatly go under regular kilt hose... and at the end of the day, your kilt hose don't smell as awful to boot...
Hope you recover soon. Make sure you do what the doc tells ya, and stay off any hooch if you're on blood-thinners.
