Thank goodness for kilts, and for good friends who catch such subtleties! I'm very glad you'll be all right and I wish you a speedy recovery. My DH had two clots in his leg about a year and a half ago following surgery and gave us quite a scare. Take care of yourself, and thank your kilt for us!

Thanks for bringing this up and a speedy recovery. A case close to home resulted in a fatality to a young lady in her 30's. Moving about periodically on a long flight is important.

Wishing you a speedy recovery. As other have said DVT's are very serious - keep following the Dr's advise.
A family member developed DVT's on a long flight. Since then I am fanatical about getting up to walk around on the plane, drinking plenty of water (prevents an increase in blood viscosity via dehydration) and always research the best seats on the plane with extra leg room. (in many wide-bodied jets towards the back where they go from a 3 seat to a two seat configuration the second set of two seats has a wide gap in front -if you are in the window seat. I always go for that one. Loads of leg room. First class leg-room at an economy class price

Glad your friends were observant and willing to speak up to help you out. Those blood clots are nothing to mess around with, follow your doctor's orders. I wish you a speedy and full recovery.

When I fly, I always request an aisle seat so I can at least stretch out a bit. Easier to stand up and move around once in a while.
Good luck for a speedy recovery. If you are in Wichita, stop by for a bottle of my home brew.
