My next stop was the Apothecary shop that Mercer owned before the American War of Independence.

These charming ladies take one back in time to that period of the birth of our country.

There was a strong thriving community of Scots living in the Fredericksburg area during the colonial times. One included a man with the surname of Paul, whose brother John had a significant naval career but that’s another story.
I hope XMarkers in our area may be able to join in the festivities, tomorrow at the Apothecary shop.
