I myself always prefer men's kilts to be made of a tartan with a large sett size. The small sett-sized cloth looks more suited to a woman's skirt to my eye.

Did you two plan on wearing the different accent colors for your hose and shirts, or did it just work out that way? A nice example of two different looks with the same tartan.

I much prefer the Lochcarron wool... I have a 13 oz. tank and it is beautiful. I don't have a picture however I plan to wear it to our local Burn's Supper with my Skye Highland Outfitters IOS Tartan Hose. I will post a pic.
Just planned the Isle of Skye tartan...kilt hose, etc. shook out as it did.
I liked the IoS in PV enough to order up a USA Casual in it for the coming hot weather.
