    Well, you're off and running now! Remember one sporran strap leads to another, to a sporran, to making kilts of all kinds. It's a slippery slope.

    One more suggestion: If you cut the belt in the middle as opposed to by the buckle, you can leave it so the buckle falls in the middle of the back (or wherever you choose) and thereby have an instantly adjustable strap.
