    Mike,

Try to go in June when they have the Taste of Scotland festival in Franklin. I went with my wife when we were in the Smokies for our honeymoon and had a great time!

    Matt,

The doublet and jabot definitely work well together. I'm not sure I got a picture of myself for the Baton Rouge Burns Night, but I finally tried out a crevat. If I ever decide to break down and get a doublet, I may just have to get one similar to yours... that charcoal tweed just works so well.

I'd drive for a couple of hours to hang out at such a grand looking affair.

We did drive a couple of hours. We were staying in Pidgeon Forge, TN for our honeymoon and made the drive through the mountains. A lovely drive to be sure, although it was exhausting for me as I'm used only to large flat expanses of road. But it was definitely worth it.

Great set of photos Matt! I really like your new doublet too. One question, what is the medal hanging on your watch chain?

I am looking at that weekend as a possibility because of the festival. Also want to get over to the transportation museum in Spencer. Hope to have better luck then the "old 97" in getting to Spencer.

There's about 4 hours between Franklin and Spencer. You wouldn't be starting from Monroe, VA, would you?
(I wonder who all knows what that's about. )
