This past Sunday I was what we call the "Deacon of the Day". This just means I did the offertory prayer and info about my family and myself was in the bulletin.
But my preacher and close friend made comment in great fun might I add about my kilt. I was not wearing it at the time but he related that I had Scottish ancestory and chose to wear the kilt in kinda honor to them. He said it takes a lot a man to wear a skirt. The congregation had a great time and I had many folks afterwards ask about it. We have a fairly large congregation and 2 church services. I spoke of it in both services.
I really enjoyed the good intended prodding.
