If anyone is still interested...I recieved this in 3 weeks and it is not the weight of 12 Oz. IN WOOL....but we are talking poly/vis here, so that is new to me. I haven't been able to get this fabric in the states. But it is pretty thin.
Beautiful fabric but a STUPID way of sending it. She wrapped the fabric on the cardboard bolt in plastic then brown paper. Two ends were broken open and luckly not damaged. I will not even conceider this seller again, but.....I did ask if she would send swatches of fabric next time. Wompet was right

This is exactly how F&K send their fabric. Not had any issue with it other than it won't fit in my super mail box. Maybe it was US customs that had a problem with it and didn't reseal it properly?

I have received fabric and clothing in that really heavy plastic bag stuff. Like a envelope. but this was wrapped under the paper to keep it clean. It wasn't opened, it was rubbed open because it was a corner. a rough trip from Canada.
anyway, i know better than to ever say never, but if i request a swatch and it is heavy enough for a kilt; next time i would request a box. I sure they would help me out if i asked.

Well, I see that her shipping methods haven't improved over the last few years.

I would never think of anything other than wool worsted for a tartan kilt and a full 8 yards!

They never sent me swatches.....but all of a sudden they had the brainstorm to "offer" them on ebay (for $10 each)

I think I have bought identical material to what you are describing for less money.

It's too light for me to make another kilt out of and it pills easier than more quality fabrics but hey, if you want it it's there.

Mine was even shipped in light plastic and wrapped in paper, wound on a cardboard bolt...
