If the jumper didn't look like it was pieced together from old rags it'd be a good look. I think a lightweight zip up jumper looks really good with a kilt, I've come across a lot of photos of that sort of outfit recently. I think after I've made 5 or 6 more pairs of socks that'll be my next knitting project.
And re: the put this on guys, their site promotes a pretty specific style of dress, an updated form of American traditional. Obviously the kilt doesn't fit in that style. Yeah, he comes off as a bit of an jerk about it. He does about a lot of stuff. It's something I really dislike about that site. Their premise is dressing like a grown up, seems like maintaining a proffesional demeanor in public would be part of that.
