oh, I did not mean to impy that weathered could not be worn formally, I was only trying to get my point across of what type of use I would most likely be wearing one. I will probably wear it as formal attire from time to time. The 2 Macraes i currently have are heavy weight and i am limited on my uses/seasons with them also they were both very Pricey. When I said traditional, i only meant not in the lines of contemporary (ie utili, etc). I had noticed the weathered swatch on USAs site and wanted direction, suggestions on weight/yardage. Thanks for the input, I think i may go with the 13oz 5 yard.
