I rather like Aberdeen, home of the Gordon Highlanders. (A little military alusion there, too.)

Fort George, home of the Seaforth Highlanders, Queen's Own, and the Blackwatch, is another decent option.

I too like the "Fort William".

In looking at the above sporran photo, I keep thinking of a non-Scottish name, but that just about every Scottish military unit fought at in the Great War: "the Somme".
In my mind this would honour all those Jocks who went over the top.

How about naming it after the small village of 'Plains' located outside the town of Airdrie,in North Lanarkshire, Scotland,About 14 miles east of Glasgow city centre and 32 miles west of Edinburgh.

'Plain' is also an adjective which can describe things that are ordinary, simple, or unattractive. And this is rather plain!

I guess if the price is right, it could be used as a 'drinking' sporran...you should be able to wipe off anything that gets spilled on it during a night in the pub!

Unassuming to the eye, perhaps. But some of y'all obviously have not had tactile experience of what Lamar does with deer and elk hide.

I concur, however, "Fort William" and "Huntly" are both apt titles, though I would point out that Lamar tends to use more Gaelic place names... at any rate, Lamar's sporrans are the bomb, baby! And worth every penny, fo shizzle on the drizzle.
If you want Gaelic. How about; An Gearasdan aka Fort William?

Ture and I agree. However this is a leather day sporran not something to be worn with the aforementioned evening clothes, and plain daywear designs have been around for a long time.

It is that quote that makes me consider that I aught not be wearing the kilt in the first place...

But then I remember that I need not worry about evening wear too much.

I think it's a neat project, and a very good idea.

Hmmm. I think there's very solid ground on which to believe that plain-Jane leather day sporrans are very traditional and Highland in style...
