    Eric,

    Here's the list again -

    1. live oak - natrual
    2. spruce - natrual
    3. teak - natrual
    4. black walnut crotch - natrual
    5. possibly red heart - natrual
    6. kuri - stabilized
    7. olivewood - stabilized
    8. cocobolo - natrual
    9. holly - natrual
    10. padauk - natrual
    11. bloodwood - stabilized
    12. bocote - natrual

I would guess from the redish color, that you were able to soak it i oil (stabilized ones wouldn't change anything) and lack of tight grain it is either 2 or 5. Was it reddish before the soak? If so I would say 5 if not than it is 2.

If it is 2 you can pass on the recepant that it came from the Constitution. One and two are both from it.

    Jim

    Drac,

Do you mean the U.S.S. Constitution, as in "Old Ironsides"???
