My 1st cousin (6x removed) was Robert B. Moore of the New Orleans Greys, who fought & died there. My Moore's /O'More's were Irish (Co. Antrim), though you go back to the 1500's one of his/my O'More's was born across the water in Glasgow.
We jokingly refer to our Moore's as "Irish-Scots-Irish"
