Old Kilts

The oldest kilt I have is about 15 years old, but it looks brand new. I've worn it quite a bit, but I also take very good care of it--well, mostly. I don't leave it lying about, and it's usually pretty well protected from moths and such.

I expect to bequeath it when I go to that great pub crawl in the sky.

Which brings up a good question: What are the best ways to protect one's wool kilts? Does cedar really work? My wife is rotating her wool into our too small, freezer to destroy any eggs that may be laid there because she has experienced some damage to her woolens already and we have seen some moths in her closet.
