"Kilts" properly are men's garments. Women have enough choices w/o encroaching on ours! But it's easy enough to find kilted skirts in just about any length you (or she) want. Women's kilted skirts tend to fasten on the left instead of the right. In a pipe band, I think that women typically wear men's kilts these days, but otherwise pretty much anything goes.

They can get anything from a mini to a floor length...it's all good.
Frankly, I am mucho pro kilts on women. There are not a few darn good lookin' women in some of the pipe bands hereabouts and they look smashing in the kilt.
