I'm not an expert in any of this, so I may be way wrong.
It sounds like this is in an area that can also be pressed from the back side of the apron. This will keep the front side of the apron even. Still use a damp pressing cloth, though.
Just a different way of pondering the issue...
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
