I was a prom chaperon myself last night--my wife is an art teacher--and went kilted. I found it nice that the kids, most of whom had never seen a kilt in person--were very receptive and asked very mature and dignified questions about it.

Only 8 faculty there? That's either a little school or one well-behaved group of students. My principal required all 92 of us to attend the prom, but several of us complained enough so that we were offered "other" duties.
You look really sharp, McNulty. You don't need a PC or any of that other stuff.
The theatre I work at does an after prom showing for the kids of two of the three local high schools. This year more of the boys were dressed nicely compared to years past. About time they started to put more effort into looking good.
