Specialty Hose
Picked up my specialty hose at the post office today. What a bargain! The foot is the Lewis Hose and you have a patterned top AND they come with a pair of striped fringed garter ties that are so wonderful. All for $55 + shipping. I ordered the Chessboard pattern in ancient blue with navy details.
Just to break it down for you guys, Lewis Hose runs $48. The garter ties run $24. With the Specialty Hose, you get both for $55 with the added bonus of the patterned cuff. You want to add some "flair" to your hose, this is THE way to go without breaking the bank.

I ordered these to wear with my Douglas Weathered Kathy Lare kilt when I graduate on May 8.
Thanks Matt, you were right, the ancient blue and navy work very well, much better than the pattern I was initially looking at.

Very nice! How long did they take to arrive and if you don't mind me asking, what size did you order? I am a 10.5 shoe, yet I have found if I order that size in kilt hose, they come up way to high, so I tend to wear a size small in the "Gaelic Themes" standard kilt hose. I like to wear my kilt hose with the tops of the folder over cuff to be three finger widths below the bottom part of my kneecap area. Thanks!

Rob, I'm glad you received them safe and sound. I think they will look fantastic with your weathered Douglas kilt. Can't wait to see the whole outfit together.
For those interested, the hose listed on our "specialty hose" page are not held in stock, so they generally take 6 to 8 weeks to order (average time).

Rob,
Did you ever get pics up of you wearing your new hose with your kilt?
