Which is sad, considering the mish-mash of various items now allowed to be called postal uniforms. I still remember letter carriers with hats and badges. Now it is T-Shirts and if one is lucky a ball cap.

Why not remind your carrier that he's eligible to wear one too?

The guy's name was Dean Peterson. Here's an article. There was also a TV interview. According to the article he was going to bring it up at this year's convention. I hope they approove it.

    The story goes on...

Today, the same guy rang again on my door, I came out (in pants this time) and he started to apology himself. Apparently he mistakenly pressed our doorbell instead of neighbors across the street.

I think he just wanted to see my kilt once more time.

It sounds like he has now gone from embarrassed to curious. I would imagine that a kilt is a very rare thing to see in Slovenia. I know that some European countries have Highland Games, and my nephew participated in a Robert Burns supper in Berlin. Are there any similar events in Slovenia?

I agree - I think he rang your doorbell "by mistake" just to check out your kilt again. Soon you will see kilted Slovenian postmen everywhere!

From your mouth to Gods ear

Actually I would be happy to see a kilt from time to time (beside the one I wear), no need to see kilts all over the country.

I do love to see others faces when they first encounter a Kilt.
