I have the WPG tam. Wonderful. They are great to deal with. I got a nice, reasonably priced heavy pair of kilt hose that I love. I have the Gordon Highlander kilt. Wow! Great stuff so far.

You know what you want Terry and good luck to you. I could not help having a smile---laugh even----, as poor old Chris(Redshank) had to(well he did not HAVE to, but he very kindly did) go half way round Scotland to Mackie's and get my new bonnet "crown"(?) made smaller!

Steve McVeigh of Caledon, Northern Ireland (ex-Gordons piper) sells ex-British army kilts, hats, uniforms, sporrans etc plus piping equipment and dress. One of the hats I bought from him was this Royal Regiment of Scotland khaki Tam O’ Shanter. It is the smaller type rather than the previous pancake (originals of which are harder to get now) and has the “brightened” 1A tartan patch, plus RRS badge. The one in the photo has the dark green hackle of 5 Scots (The Argylls).
You can find Steve as “Bugpiper” at e-bay (he has a good reputation), but I can give you his e-mail and phone number on a PM if you want.

Just for fun I thought I'd post two examples of actual WW1 CEF bonnets.
This example is dated 1916 and was worn by a member of the 85th Infantry Battalion (Nova Scotia Highlanders) from Halifax Nova Scotia:
