			Translation help

Hi - I need some help translating something. I am about to turn over command of my warship, and as part of my change of command cereemony I would like to say a few words in Irish to my wife. I have some irish but not enough to do this properly. I would like to say
Vicky my love, I have been away too long. I dream of the homeward path, the flickering hearth, your shining eyes. I want to come home.

I know there are a few native irish speakers out there. Can I get a translation. need it soonest as the ceremony is Thursday the 20th.

I am no help with the translation, I am afraid. If I may say so, Cap'n, those are fine words in any language.

Vicki, mo chroi, bhi mise ar shiul ro bhfad! Well, Cap'n thats the first sentence (conjugation might be a wee bit off). I'll try to work out the rest as time allows......any other people that are Irish speakers on here?

I'd like that translation too... seems worth memorizing and tucking away for future use.
