"...And according to many experienced box pleat kilt wearers, the wider the pleats are the less they wrinkle.

Then again it depends how you sit, where you sit, for how long you sit."

I had a kilt with wide pleats and I found that it didn't "flow" very well--it tended to wrap around my legs--but that is partly because I have a rather long stride. It looked terrible after a three-hour drive. I sold it.
By contrast, my 16oz box pleat keeps its pleats and looks far less ruffled than I do after a similar drive. I was thinking that it was strictly the pleating, but I suppose the weight of material would factor in, too.
EPITAPH: Decades from now, no one will know what my bank balance looked like, it won't matter to anyone what kind of car I drove, nor will anyone care what sort of house I lived in. But the world will be a different place, because I did something so mind bafflingly eccentric that my ruins have become a tourist attraction.

I think this is a wonderful kilt. I think it would also look very well done in anice tweed with a matching jacket for a kilted suit.

Robert, please pass on my congratulations to the Lady. That is the most striking and innovative thing I have seen in the kilt world. Now, if Chrystel would like to make one in a larger size for a prolonged testing, say a 52X26, I know of a gent that would be willing to undertake said testing. Vive le difference!

Robert, please pass on to Lady Chrystel my congratulations for yet another wonderful work.

To the rest of you: until you actually have an example of M'Lady's work in your hands -- and know it now belongs to you -- you really have only a hint of her craftsmanship.

    Wow....
I'm in love with this kilt/ pleating style.
It's modern but stylish classic but contemporary.
Somebody mentioned bruce wayne, I agree.
I really really like it. Hope I can persuade someone to make me this kilt one day.
