I am finding a lot of people go out of their way to tell you of their Scottish Heritage when they notice your kilt. Quite a few have kilts, but only wear them on special occasions. I'd like to see more kilts worn as part of accepted every day wear.
Same here on all counts. I wear mine for plenty of reasons...not every day, but certainly more often than just piping comp and festivals...and I get the same comments, and it's always cool to jaw about ancestry and whatnot. Met a few of my neighbors just yesterday morning when I was out practicing in the clubhouse...one guy very interested in talking about his own Scottish ancestry, the other guy saying not to bother closing the weight room doors next time because they all like the pipes, and the third guy asking about the Highland Games this weekend because he's interested in learning to throw a caber...
