Greetings, from Akron Ohio.
When the weather is in the 80's, I find that my 8-yard wool kilt (called a 'tank' round XMarks) is fairly comfortable... the secret is choosing the rest of the outfit wisely.
In this heat, I won't wear the wool hose but I've found lighter weight cotton knee socks at various places and those have become my casual daytime wear during the summer.
When its hotter, I prefer one of the synthetic kilts for really casual wear, I find the lighter-weight fabric a bonus... but your mileage will vary, depending on how/why you wear the kilt.
Welcome to the rabble, and don't be surprised if you find the kilts are just preferred over p@nts after a while.

Welcome from Lancaster County, Pennsylvania!
The weather here doesn't differ that much from yours, and I have found in the heat of the Summer for knocking around a well-made PV (like a casual from USA kilts) works very well. If you are going to wear your kilt for dressier occasions only get the heaviest weight you can stand so it will last forever and look good forever.

Welcome from Eastern Washington. I spent awhile in Cincinnati on a sabatical a couple of years ago. I know there are some really good folks there who wear kilts.
