    I think rocky calls it "Pleating to the cheat" or something like that. That term is now frequently used by many kilt makers including myself!

    the only problem that i have with less yardage kilt (Including box pleated kilts), is that the wrinkle factor is way greater than an 8 yard. That being said, small price to pay for the EXTREME comfort!

    "Mirrored sett" has the same problem as "reversed sett." Given that most setts are symmetrical, if you mirrored the sett it would look the same.

    Even with an asymmetrical sett, if you mirrored or reversed it, it would still be showing the entire sett, only backwards.

    What you have here really isn't pleating to the sett at all, but rather to another created pattern that somewhat mimics the sett.
