Scan down and you'll see the surnames connected with Clan Donnachaidh...anything look familiar?

    Hello mate,

Precisely Auld Argonian. My wife is a Robertson, her family hails form southern Perthshire, the towns of Dunkeld and Pitlochry, and Loch Rannoch. The surnames of Robeson/Robson are indeed associated surnames with the Robertsons of Struan. The surname of Robeson/Robson is recorded in The Surnames of Scotland, by George F. Black.

Below are links to the tartans of the Clann Donnachaidh, courtesy of Lochcarron, Scotland, and an interesting, yet rather brief interview with the current Chief of the Clann Donnachaidh during the July 2009 Gathering in Edinburgh.

Enjoy your newly found heritage lad, and I encourage you to dig deeper (as I did, beginning quite extensively as a high school freshman back in 1995) and see how far, and perhaps where, the trail will lead you. I promise you my friend, the reward of your diligent work is well worth it in the end.
