As far as the atlatl, did I miss the joke? I used to compete regular in traditional archery. I never had the desire to own or make one. by the way: If it was a short shoot, I used an English Longbow. Long shoots, I used a Composite Longbow. For those unfamiliar with my use of terms, this region calls a single wood, un-notched longbow an English Longbow, the arrow rest on your index finger. A Composite Longbow is made of two or more different types of wood compressed.
