Your mention of Ceangails has intrigued me, since I am unfamiliar with this type of neckwear.
Forgive my ignorance, but could you direct me to an illustration or two of a Ceangail?
    Regards,

Mike, Ceangail is a Gaelic word meaning "tie". We designed these ties to do several things. One is to give alternatives to fore-in-hand ties and bow ties. You can wear them for formal affairs or casually. Your collar can be buttoned or worn loose and it looks basically the same. They can be worn with clan badges large and small or with organizational coins made into pendants.

Our local Police Emerald Society first wanted them to use with their coins to distinguish past presidents. When they saw the result they decided that all members could wear them for parades and special events and presidents could have a secondary indicator, like a star or pin, to show that position. They will wear the Ceangail one the outside of their open collars with their organizational ascot next to their necks.

Here's where you can see them: http://www.jbyous.com/CelticNeckwear.html. I think you will find them unique. Also look up "James Byous" on facebook and you will see me wearing on at a beach wedding.
