First X-Kilt

Sharp looking kilt! The black will allow you to wear it with any shirt you've got. I'd go with bold patterns and light colors myself. Shock 'em dead!
What kind of fabric did you use? Is it intended for warm weather or year round?
How about showing us a pleat shot? We've got a lot of X-kilt and box pleat fans here.
If you put pockets in the next one you'll earn some massive bragging points y'know!

KiltShot, so far I've worn it with a long sleeved black shirt (with the sleeves rolled up) and a few shirts from teefury.com. Next week I plan to wear it to a rehearsal dinner type thing for a wedding, along with my favorite purple dress shirt. Should look sharp, I might even be able to get a photo.
I used a cotton / polyester fabric, I believe it's called Target. It's definitely suitable for warm weather (at least in NY), I'm not sure how well it will work out once winter comes, but I'll definitely give it a try.

I meant to get a pleat shot, but they were a bit wrinkled, due to having a little sister sitting (squirming) on my lap. :P I'll try to get a good one soon.
Pockets are definitely something I'll be looking into for the next kilt I make, hopefully I'll be able to start that in the next month..

Now I need to learn how to knit hose, since I don't think my scarf knitting needs much more practice. ^_^

Wow, a comment from the creator himself, I'm honored! ^_^ I know I'm now in her debt, I started by stopping at the florist after work a few days ago, to bring her a red rose. I'll have to think up something else to do next.

As requested, I was able get a pleat shot on Saturday, when I wore my kilt to the "groom's dinner" (aka rehearsal dinner, even though we didn't have a rehearsal). I received many compliments, and only one "Why are you wearing a dress?", but that was from a young boy with special needs, who didn't mean it in a bad way..

Obviously, they're a tad wrinkled and such, but this was after being worn for 7 hours straight, in cars, out of cars, through a long dinner, etc, and I didn't even have the time to iron it that day. =)

And here's one from the front, showing it off with my favorite dress shirt, and the boots I received the night before, as a gift for being the best man. Size 14, great boots for stomping and crushing.. ;) (oh, and that spot on the front is just from the flash :P)
