Whoa!! $35 for tartan flashes is the $10 off price!!?? Sure sounds like a middleman. Last I looked tartan flashes were around $25....or less, depending on the material.
Good luck....

I got a package today , but it wasn't what I thought it would be. It was better than flashes though( a new sgian dubh ). I'll wait and see what the bloody sponsorer is going to do. I had to resort to ordering a soild pair of black flashes from Sport Kilt awhile back for the going price of $16 and they're working just fine. I've had nothing but great experiences w/ordering items from Sport Kilt. Are there any Ghillie Brogues that you guys would recommend that are good on the feet? I'm in a color guard/pipe & drum band that sometimes does long parades. (in case you're wondering, I sometimes carry a flag or if need be play the bass drum)

Okay, I might have missed this in the previous posts, but I'd really like to know who the kilt maker was that messed up you order....especially important if it was a sponsor on XMTS. I hope the same does not happen to me. I ordered a kilt from Tartan Web near the end of August and they said it would be done in 3.5 weeks. We'll see..... time is near an end.

The OP still hasn't said, but like Heathbar noted upthread the detective work is not difficult. I'm pretty sure that I've found it too.

Ok you asked. The Celtic Croft. No return calls, No response from their facebook page after multiple messages about this matter & no response from them here. Had they checked this post it wouldn't have been hard to figure out who I am unless they owe somebody else some Murray flashes. I do not and will never recommend anyone doing business w/them unless you don't mind never receiving items you paid for. Shame on them. Ahhh that feels much better to get that out

After reading their website, I had not realized that they are a home based business, so they do not have a brick and mortor shop. And they do mention that during the summer they are mostly traveling to different highland games. I would imaging this eats up at least 4 doys out of a week, depending on the distance. They have been around for a long time so they must be doing something right. Keep at them and lets see how they resolve this.

Surprise, surprise! So it was Celtic Croft. Shame on them. No excuses about going to highland games over the summer. Many of the other vendors, who advertise on this site, take care of their customers even in the midst of a wedding, moving, etc. Hopefully, Celtic Croft will see this and up their commitment to their customers.
As I recall, there was another thread, not long ago, about the poor service from them. I must look for it.

Thanks guys. Supposedly the kilt was made after the material was shipped from Scotland, so how the flashes weren't made then seems a bit strange to me. I have to admit, I have 2 kilts from them and they are good quality but both times they had to expedite the shipping because of mix ups on their end with meeting the timeline. Who knows maybe one day those flashes will just show up I was told by the son-n-law that they had shipped & were shipping. The nice fella that usually answers the phone for them has told me more than once that they are on order from Scotland or that he'll call me back & just doesn't.
