    Ah, for the days of simple and understandable dress codes.

    Anyway, "country club casual" usually means that you wear in the clubhouse whatever you would wear on the golf course. For daytime, that means a golf shirt and slacks, and maybe a sport jacket. For evening, a blazer, polo or button-down shirt, and slacks. Generally, no tie.

    So, what you have in mind seems to be right.

    I think Jersey is also allowing you to sub a kilt for the slacks. Just make sure it isn't Royal Troon. Have a ball.

    Was Royal Troon where they wouldn't let you play? This is the local CC that one of my kickball teammates is the membership coordinator of.

    I did say what he proposed was fine.

    And even Troon said you could wear highland attire in the clubhouse. Funny how plaid pants are okay, but a tartan kilt isn't. Maybe you should have worn a white belt?
