Santa Claus North Pole Belt Buckle

This isn't really an anouncement, other than to show you the biggest belt buckle I have made- so far.

A bearded Santa in South Dakota, not a member of this forum, came accross a picture of my 3.5 inch diameter North Pole belt buckle on the web, and called me to ask if I could make a 4 inch diameter buckle for him, coupled up with a 3 inch wide leather belt from Steve at Oconee Leather Works.

Here is the buckle. It is brass on copper with copper rivets. Frosted glass is bezel set under the hold in the brass dome. One cannot tell from the picture that it is really 4 inches diameter; however, it is, and it has got me re-considering attempting a 5 inch diamter buckle for these guys.

Great buckle. I hope Santa enjoys it. I best not show my grandchildren the second photo. They may start asking questions about the number!!!!!

That's an awesome buckle Mark! I can't wait to see a photo of Santa wearing it.

These Santa are a neat bunch and it's great to see the effort they put into adding to a child's Christmas. Cheers to all Santas out there

When we Santa's get together in any large group we normally tell the children that the Real Santa is here but it is your job to pick out the Real Santa. In 2009 we had a convention in Gatlinburg TN with 600 + Santa's in attendance with a parade down Main Street as well.

You can go to U-Tube and search for Santa Parade and it will come up.

Tyger I am waiting till after the season to get my North Pole Buckle. Everyone who sees my Rudolph buckles loves it.

That's a really snazzy buckle. Did you have to make a die to punch out all the little trees, or are they cast into the brass?

Thank you all for your kind words. Some of these guys have the BIGGEST buckles!

Yes, the trees are stamped. The stamp is made from a roller from a bearing. Anneal, file to shape, and re-temper.
