if its yer own kilt then its drawless all the way............ but if its hired then a bit of care should be taken to wear something as not every kilt is cleaned after each hire

i had a lassie in belfast last week that was giving me a lift to a wedding party bring that commando issue up ......worried about me flashing her in the highwinds that we had on the way to the car ..............i had to make a point that with the weight of my kilt compared to her mini dress it'll be her flashing me that she should be more worried about

Excellent rebuttal to her concern. I'm a newbie to all this but even if the kilt material was as light as her skirt wouldn't the sporran hold things down....at least in the front.

I would personally agree, but I found it interesting that, even in Scotland, where the garment has it's roots, that they suffer the same 'question' we 'outlanders' do.

well i know that & you know that ...but sadly she didn't

the poor lass went on about it a good few times that day

its all kinda new to me too.. its one thing wearing a kilt and being asked in yer home country its another somewhere else when you`d least expect it
