Pin Backs?

I am strongly considering using metal strips and magnets versus traditional pin backs or even pins/clutches. See here...

Rare earth magnets, superglue and metal strips work fine for some of my kilt pins. The only problem I have had with them is proximity.... have to watch getting in and out of the truck, standing too close to the soda vending machine, shopping carts at the market, etc.

I've tried rare earth magnets without success. I would not recommend them.

I've tried magnets. I found my kilt became very attracted to my fridge.

If anyone has a source for obtaining clutch pins, as in, just the pins for making/repairing push-pin badges, I'd be ever so grateful. I've been looking off and on for over a year and not found any.

I did a general search for 'clutch pin' and when all 5 million items came up, refined search to 'craft'.
