Ahh, Lads, Yesterday was a blast! Another fine kilted day in great Michigan weather--mid 20's (F) and windy. Perfect for my Stillwater Irish National and black commando sweater, black heavy hose and black boonies. Went to the Detroit Intstitute of Arts for an exibit on fakes and forgeries, then to the Detroit Film Theatre for a showing of "The Third Man" and finally off to my favorite pub that has a good selection of single malts and local brews.

At each location I was actually THANKED for wearing a kilt! At the museum, an older woman asked after my clan and said she had a fine Ross scarf in her car. At The theatre, the usher slapped me on the back and said that I was probably the most comfortable man in the theatre. At the pub, a young fellow in a flat cap and Dropkick Murphys sweatshirt bought me a pint!

Ahhh--another grand kilted day in Motown!
