Happy St. Andrews Day from the Scottish Borders where the low winter sun shines on the snow.

Happy St Andrews day to all! I will be looking to buy my first chanter today. I am really excited about that! The cold has settled in to the highlands of Central Massachusetts and my knees sometimes feel the chill but more my fingers. Snow is late but coming for sure. Warm thoughts and a great day to all!

Happy St. Andrew's to you all.
I don't normally wear my kilt to work, but St. Andrew's Day gives me a good reason to do so. One thing I plan to do is go downstairs to our after-school program this afternoon and talk to our kids (Chinese, Vietnamese, Ethiopian, Hispanic and others) about the kilt. One positive about working in an agency that serves immigrants and refugees is that people understand honoring one's heritage.

Yes, a Happy St Andrew's Day to all.
Or, as some of my kinfolk would have it, St Andrieu's Day.

My brother works for the EPA and wears his kilt to work most days. As far as I know, no supervisors have said anything negative to him about it. Perhaps they consider it would be discriminatory to deny unbifurcated garments to men while allowing women to wear them.

Just been to the Duke of Edinburgh pub, near Windsor, for haggis, neaps and tatties.
