Thank you all for your kind comments. The lapis is fairly easy to work and has been stabilized. The blade is centered in the handle and the picture is a little deceptive because it was taken off to the side. In order to keep the feel and use of the knife good I build these like I would a hunting knife. The blade is differentially heat treated and will take and hold an edge quiet well. No point in carrying a knife if it does not cut. I played around with a sheath today however I think I will go with a hard wood sheath as I normally do and include the other sheath made today with this knife. This one has a 4" blade and is 1/8" thick to keep it light. I may do some file work on the pommel, think that would look good?
    Thanks again fellas

Thanks again for your feedback Finished the sheath today, did a textured wood sheath which is a little different. What do you think?

Great looking sgian dubh, absolutely love the lapis blue against the black and silver. The sheath is a unique piece in itself and I like it a lot. Congratulations on a great piece of workmanship
