I will be certain to pray for her and the rest of the family. Take care of yourself as well, brother. You're no good to anyone if you are too worn.

    God Bless,
    Hugh

Thank you all. My apologies for venting last night, it's been kind of rough the last couple months and I normally don't go off like that.

Mom is doing fine today but will be waiting until tomorrow for her pacemaker. Joyce is doing better but is getting frustrated with how slow nerves heal and the fact that she spends 90% of the day in the dark because of how much sunlight hurts.

Apology unnecessary. At the risk of sounding overly cliched, that's what

Prayers and thoughts for you and your family outbound now. Praying that you find peace in whatever decision is made and that the decision will ultimately prove to be the right one.

Well, it looks like Mom is going to be home for Christmas. The pacemaker was implanted this morning and they expect to send her home tommorrow. This will greatly improve the quality of her life in that she should have more energy and should stop the spells of passing out that she has had. That will be the best Christmas present this year for all of us.

Joyce's issues with the shingles related nerve damage seem to be settling down but she still has problems with sunlight causing MAJOR pain. We will be getting with her neurologist in very early Jan to see how it is going and to extend her leave of absence.

Thank you all for your support and letting me rant earlier.

Greg, glad to hear that your mother is getting to come home for the holidays. My father-in-law has a pacemaker and it had improved his quality of life.

I hope that your wife's doctors are able to make some progress for her soon as well. We'll keep your family in our prayers this holiday season.
