Some members of the rabble are probably having a conniption at the thought of formal wear being worn while the sun is up... I think, however, that this is fairly typical in contemporary North American society. The event dictates the level of formality, not the time of day and many (most?) people around here consider a wedding to be an appropriate time for for formal wear.
I like how there is lots of variation in this shot but there is no question who the groom is! Thanks for providing a demonstration of how one can dress in white tie, without wearing a doublet and jabot
