When was the last time you saw an out of control mob of pot heads? Seems counter intuitive. We have the same 'holiday' here.

Yes, I remember Vietnam in 1968. I was the only one in my squad that didn't smoke pot (which was about $1 per "jay", as I recall) on account of not smoking at all. But I got the effect of plenty of second-hand smoke when in the semi-underground bunker where we held our poker games. I made up for not smoking pot by learning to drink whiskey (neat - no mixers or ice available) - Jim Beam, Suntory Genuine Imitation Scotch, whatever... That habit is still with me and my liver has not succumbed. Like most guys in that combat zone, we over-sexed, underpaid teenage killers had to have some way to blow off steam...

BTW, the reason New York City's "Naked Cowboy" is not arrested is that he gets off on a technicality - he wears bikini briefs to outflank the indecency laws.

Not a mind reader or anything, but I suspect that T-Bone was referring to the anti-war protestors

That was part of my thinking, but I have also heard stories from my uncles and brother in law about being over there.

Here in the UK, we have the 'naked rambler' a gent who pops up every summer and out of his misguided principles, believes that he has the divine right to stroll about the country totally starkers. He gets arrested every time and thrown into prison for a few days and just repeats his offence when he gets back out and gets arrested again, all great publicity.
Looking forward to his exploits this summer

You'd think so, wouldn't you? But there's one in every crowd...

Now remember- I didn't say impossible. I said difficult.
