On speaking with Jerry from Stillwater a year or two back, it was my understanding that many of the Pakistani suppliers (retailers) shopped around with other Salkot Pakistan cut and sew operations, depending on the price they could get for making any particular order on a particular week. I was told that there are roughly 12 cut and sew operations there and that they're all actually related (big family structure is part of the culture... brothers, cousins and 2nd cousins and intermarrying etc). He told me how many of the companies hate each other and steal each others pictures and clients and whatnot (and stealing pictures has been a problem with Scottish companies products as well). Jerry went into the details of his supplier and the problems he's had with his cousins from a competing company. As Jerry has been dealing with Pakistani kilt suppliers for years, I took him at his word.
UT Kilts' selection of tartans overlapped with FC's (save the custom weaves) and the kilt pins in multi colors was unique to yours as well. That's why I thought there was a strong possibility that there was overlap in suppliers.
