I have one of those arriving tomorrow, thanks to seeing your post.

For anyone who likes this design but doesn't like wool (which seems a bit incongruous for folks who like kilts), Orvis has the same design in cotton with a choice of four colors:

So okay, it arrived yesterday and I like it. Howsomever, they included a hard-copy store catalog which had the following items which weren't listed when I placed my order but are now, and some of you may find them worth checking out:

    Scottish Wool Walking Sweater:

    British Wool Walking Sweater:

    Scottish Borders Cardigan:

    Scottish Wind-Resistant Wool Cardigan:

    Men's Irish Sweater Vest:

All are in the "Sweaters" section at http://shop.nationalgeographic.com/n...?navAction=pop, and they all look pretty kilt-worthy to me.

Yes, very nice. The Scottish Wool Walking Sweater is a very nice color. What would you say that is reddish-brown?

That one's advertised as "burgundy". They also have it in "oatmeal".

This just arrived for me from the U.K. today, and I'm wearing it right now:

From Wool Overs; this is the "Countryman" sweater in Derby Tweed (a sort of grey/green heathered color). This is a heavyweight, tightly knit rain-shedder. And the wool and the suede shoulder & elbow patches both happen to be washable. I like their guidelines for ensuring a good fit before ordering, and the price is unbeatable. Alas, I ordered mine at the full price of $52 US. Should have waited, it's now dropped to $47. Oh well. . .

Oh, the pic is from the company's website. I'm handsomer than that.
