Guys, quit talking about it, and MAKE it. If you have an opinon and a skill then quit jawing about it, make the bluidy thing and mail it to somebody.

Cajunscot if you think a quaich is the right thing, then go get a quaich. Mail it to me. I'll take some pictures of me and it and life in general and mail it to the next guy. Here, I nominate Tartan Hiker to be the guy I mail it to. "it"...whatever "it I is.

Whomever. Whatever. If not Cajunscot, then whomever. Nighthawk, make your flask, or whatever. Quit TALKING, and DO something if you want this little tradition to continue.

OK, I'm not gonna write this again...

Well put. I'm done with the discussion. Tired of overthinking it. Hopefully someone will just send something out. I hope it comes together soon though.

Cheers Alan H. It's the way to go. If we try to do it by concensus it will end up like the tie. Jamie did it the right way i.e. it just appeared.

I am with you about those gourd people, they are just weird, but only as long as you are not one of those want's us to collect shoes, because the master clearly wants us to take off one shoe.

I did nave a thought about the quaich, after seeing the one linked a few posts ago. Any item available with a clan crest is subject to the crest designs available to the manufacturer. I know there are some items I can not get with mine in some catalogs. The XMTS being a custom design only made by one manufacturer, may not be available as an added design. It could probably be engraved, but the art charge might make this less than ideal. Wood work or leather work being something that is easier to customize may be a better answer.

I have the opinions but not the skill to make things, so throwing out ideas is all I can contribute to this project.

    Unbelievable.

Except that I do in fact believe it.

You're on the money there, The Saltire wasn't discussed, it just appeared and started on it's way. The symbols this forum has, the tartan, kilt pin, clan badge, etc. popped up pretty much the same way. Let's face it, this forum doesn't form a consensus very well, the three fruitless tries at the club tie shows that pretty well.

The link that I posted earlier is from Gaelic Themes, the folks who produced the XMTS badges that are sold by Steve. They would have no problems reproducing said badge, because they made it.

I may just have to do that! Why the heck didn't I think of that? You, sir, are brilliant. PM Ted with your mailing address and he'll send it to you second. Whatever ***IT*** is. I already told him that if I do this, it goes to him first. He's my bestest buddy here. That, and I want pix with his cacti...
