well apparently I'm in on this one too now... just tried to get into my kilt (which admittedly hasnt been worn for a while)... not gonna happen... 
IIRC I was a waist 34" and about 200lbs when it was made, so i'm guessing i'm going to have to lose at least 4 inches (about 40 lbs?)
well just weighed in at 234.6lbs... kilt waist is about 42" 
short term fix just ordered from usakilts...
