Celtic Fest has been reduced to nothingness by the City of Chicago.

Who is up for a kilt night at the Duke of Perth? Let's show the city what we think of their rescheduling!

Well, Chicago strikes again. We were going to try to get up to the Celtic Fest this year too. Perhapse a kilt night at the Duke of Perth would be the way to go. I've no desire to fight the crowds for overpriced carnival food. At least we still have the highland games, which will be at a new location this year.

Having just returned from a Saturday afternoon at The Duke, I can attest that they're happy to see the rabble show up...I am often asked "where are all your kilt friends?".

Let's see what happens around that one day at Taste...I suspect that there may be some other things related to Celtic Fest happening at some other venues...

Sounds like we need to organize a kilt night soon.

Don't forget the Illinois St. Andrew's Society Highland Games June 17th and 18th. The venue is now in Itasca at the Chancellory at Hamilton Lakes instead of the Oakbrook Polo Grounds.

I was thinking of the Further Bus!

I have always tempered my killing with respect for the game pursued. I see the animal not only as a target but as a living creature with more freedom than I will ever have. I take that life if I can, with regret as well as joy, and with the sure knowledge that nature's ways of fang and claw or exposure and starvation are a far crueler fate than I bestow. - Fred Bear

The Beloit Ultimate Frisbee Family (BUFF) had a bus like that to take them to meets all over the Midwest. Except they flattened the roof so they could have bus-top barbecues. T'was awesome.
