Alan, I commend your application of logic. Being a math-guy, I can truly appreciate the "if A and B, then C" thing. That said, logic is based upon a given set of agreed upon assumptions...quick example: Euclidean and non-Euclidean geometry. Everyone knows that a triangle has 180 degree--in EUCLIDEAN geometry. Not at all the case otherwise. We have to agree upon assumptions for the logic to work out "both ways"...well, that's enough of that I suppose.

I would like to point out, though, that the OP SPECIFCIALLY Asked "What does everyone think would you wear it, Would you ever wear a purse as a sporran."

The OP never suggested that others use or not use a purse as a sporran, but DID ask for the opinions of others...As I mentioned previously, I personally would never do it. Why would I when there are so many beautiful sporrans out there to choose from? Although, if I saw a guy walking kilted down the street wearing a purse as a sporran, I'd just be glad they had a sense of style and were wearing the kilt. I certainly would not judge them for doing something i wouldn't do. For what it's worth, I would never run a marathon either...doesn't mean I don't look up to and appreciate those that do.
