Excellent story, very well handled. One day, when I grow up, I want to be that patient. (Well, I can hope)

I would never even dare to do such a thing! But, I will know how to find you now We can't have a thirsty Viking as a non skating official out there now can we? That wouldn't be beffitting a sailor, after all.

I find that the kilted are often called upon to play that role... outside of the Highlands anyway!

Great story too, sounds like a fun event

Haha... well Thirsty Viking is the name is of my custom Drinking Horn business.

Anyhow... to the OP.. Great job! Good to see more of the Kilted representing in a calm, and diplomatic manner. I get pretty irritated when I see a guy in a kilt completely over-react when the uninformed call it a "skirt" or call it "Irish" when its clearly a scottish tartan, or what-not.

Hell, I even got called Jewish one time because I was wearing a kilt, but that is a story for another time.

    Kilts and derby

Ive been reffing here on the island since my long-ship broke its mast on these shores 4 years ago and have sported a kilt since day one.
The ladies of the track have given me tons of support.
I swear they intentionally knock other players in my way just to see if IŽm conforming to dress codes ... sometimes i forget about the dress code.
Apparently they have all seen ŽOdinŽs eyeŽ.
Anyway ... glad to see more kilted refs on the track, it certainly has become a fashion staple in derby.

Go, have fun, don't work at, make it fun! Kilt them, for they know not, what they wear. Where am I now?
